Danity Kane splinter group Dumblonde returns to the scene with the unveiling of their sophomore album – bianca. Out today (March 4), the collection follows their self-titled debut. However, it signifies something of a sonic switch-up for members Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex. Whereas their first album highlighted synth-driven productions, their latest dives deeper into disco’s sweet groove. Comprised of 8 tracks, the tracklist includes the previously released “White Hot Lies” under the new title “i.” With the exception of danceable closer “i’m in love with myself.,” the rest of the songs also feature one-word titles.
Including no shortage of quality content, it is easy to imagine Aubrey and Shannon landing a chart-conquering hit off the project. The pair are fresh off a tour with fellow Danity Kane member DAWN. While traveling North America, they performed output from the group’s earliest material as well as highlights from their solo releases. It remains to be seen if the “Lemonade” hitmakers will hit the studio together for a follow-up to 2014’s DK3. However, there’s hope the reunion will result in the release of even more new music.
